It started as an idea between like-minded friends in Portugal’s Douro region back in 2003. Five estates with one goal: to showcase not just their renowned port wines but also their best red and white table wines. Wines that embody the Douro Valley and the unique spirit of the ‘Douro Boys’ themselves.

The event is accessible only to business partners of the five Douro Boys from all over the world. Participants have the opportunity to acquire the two Anniversary Blends of the Douro Boys at En Primeur Prices, exclusively on Wednesday 19 April during the release ceremony.

What are the Douro Boys?

Five passionate, like-minded quintas – Vallado, Crasto, Niepoort, Van Zellers & Co and Meão – joined forces in 2003 to showcase their best red and white table wines. In the last two decades, the Douro Boys have put Portugal’s Douro region on the global map, making it renowned for wines that have enjoyed the luxury of time and that speak of the UNESCO-recognised valley straddling the Douro River.
